Famous Place in Bidar

1. Bahamani Tombs :
    
        A cluster of 12 tombs located in Ashur are what is known as bahamani tombs. The tombs comprise  of large mausoleums adorned with lofty domes, arches and niches.

2. Bidar Airport :


    Bidar has been home to one of the oldest military air bases in south India. The Air Force Station at Bidar is a traning school run by the Indian Air Force and also is the backyard of the Suryakiran Aerobatics Team (SKAT). In pursuance to the long pending demand of having a Civilian Airport at Bidar, the Indian Air Force agreed upon its airbase to be used for commercial flight operations. A Civil Terminal in the year 2008-09 was built ahead of the Guru-ta-Gaddi celebrations at the Gurudwara Sri Nanak Jhira Sahib, Bidar.


3. Rangin Mahal :


        Located inside the bidar fort complex, rangin mahal is an architectural wonder that is one of the best preserved monument till date. A perfect epitome of craftsmanship of mind 16th century, the place is situated near gumbad gate. 

4. Chaukhandi of Hazrat khalil Ullah :


      Located at adistance of 4km from bidar, chaukhandi is tomb created in honor of HAZRAT KHALLI ULLAH, the spiritual advisor of Mughal emperor ahmad shah.

5. Mohammad Gawan Madrasa :


     Located in theold part of the city bidar, Mohamad gawan Mahrasa is actually the remains of a building that was once the theological college. Established in year of 1472 by Gawan.

6. Chaubara :


      Situated in the heart of the city, chaubara is a 22m high old cylindrical tower. One can witness the spell- binding views of the whole plateau from the top of the tower, the building serving as a watchtower.
