BIDRI WORK

   Bidri work is a metal handcraft from bidar.                 It was develop in the 14 th century C.E during rule of the BAHAMANI SULTAN. The term “birdriware” originates from the township of bidar. All craft done in fort and astur tombs by bidri works.         Bidri art researcher Rehaman Patel shares that the awardees also had shown their skills by exhibiting varieties of Bidri art in foreign countries. Among them is internationally renowned national awardee Bidri artist Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri. On behalf of Karnataka Tableau Shah Rasheed Ahmed Quadri represented a live demonstration of Bidri art in the year 2011 on the occasion of the Republic day at Rajpath in New Delhi.       1.   Guru Nanak ( Gurdwara Bidar ) :       Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib is a sikh historical place which in situated in bidar, Karnataka. Gurdwara Nanak Jhira was build in the year 1948 just after  Independent.                  Bidar is at an elevation, the gurdwara is at a lower level. It is located amidst the slopes of the hilly terrain. The Lateritic rock  formation under the plateau enables percolation of surface water. Bidar urban plateau  is of irregular shape, land stretching about 35.4 km in length and 19.3 km in width. The plateau consists of red laterite rocky crust, of a depth varying from 30.5 m to 152.4 m supported on impervious trap base.
